The Ka8b is a timeless sailplane design that was manufactured by the German Schleiher company in the 1950's. It was derived from the Ka 6 design as a single-place sailplane with dive brakes and simplified for amateur construction from kits. The Ka8b was well known for rugged construction, good climbing ability in thermals and good handling characteristics. The model takes on those same characteristics.
