About Us

Mike Grey

Mike Grey:

Originally from Wisconsin, I was always fascinated by WWII warbids and R/C flight. Being close to Oshkosh for the EAA convention fostered my interest even more. I started flying RC airplanes in 1997 after the president of the local club taught me to build and fly. I was hooked from that point on!

I currently enjoy building as much as flying and build/fly everything from micro to giant scale airplanes and helicopters. I started flying electric powered planes in 2004 and although I do miss the smell of glow fuel, I try to use electric power for everything! Email Mike

Angie Grey:

I started with the company at it inception in 2002, processing orders, cutting kits, making parts and handling customer service. I know every aspect of kit production and building and also enjoy flying whenever I can find the time!

Currently, you will find me running the retail store and handling service and support for our walk-in customers. Even though I'm a girl (and blonde), I have over 15 years of experience in kit building, airplane setup and electric power systems. Email Angie

Skyshark R/C Corporation:

Skyshark RC Corporation has been owned and operated by Mike and Angie Grey since 2002 when the kit manufacturing business was purchased from Heritage RC.

Heritage RC was started in the early 90's by Mark McAllister and was a pioneer in commercially available kits designed for laser cutting. With this technology emerging, Mark discovered that RC airplanes could be produced lighter and stronger if they were designed to be cut on a laser without the limitations of die cutting. Over the years, Heritage RC perfected the design and laser cutting process, offering some of the lightest warbird kits available anywhere.

In 2002 we purchased the equipment and rights for the kits and changed the name to Skyshark RC Corporation. The business was moved to AZ where we made some improvements, added some new designs and continued production of the original Heritage kits. In 2017, we moved the business from AZ to FL.

Currently, we are involved in many aspects of the hobby; from kit and ARF manufacturing to electric conversions. We also operate a retail hobby shop in Cape Coral, Florida that specializes in every aspect of R/C flight.
